CNC & Conventional Machining

The MAN Group boasts one of the largest privately owned subcontract operations in the UK with group member Muller, providing complex, precision machined components to a global customer base in a variety of industry sectors, including automotive, defence, electrical, hydraulics and gas, power generation, renewables and medical.

The combination of a highly skilled workforce and continuous investment in the latest machine attachments allow Muller to compete globally in an increasingly demanding marketplace for high volume machining requirements, complex high tolerance parts and micro precision machining services.

CNC machining is the automated control of machining tools (such as drills, lathes, mills). With CNC machining, three-dimensional cutting tasks can be accomplished in a single set of prompts. Desired cuts are programmed into the software and corresponding tools carry out the dimensional tasks as specified.

Why use MAN Group for CNC machining?

Based across four world class facilities, Muller has invested significantly in the latest CNC turning and milling technologies.

With a highly skilled workforce – all trained in lean manufacturing – the company ensures it is a critical partner to some of the world’s largest tier 1s.

CNC machining services include: Twin Spindle, Tri-Turret CNC Lathes, Twin Spindle, Twin Turret CNC Lathes, Magazine Barfeeds, CNC Chucking – Single & Twin Spindle, CNC Horizontal & Vertical Mills and Ultrasonic Wash.

Significant ongoing investment, together with a culture to drive continuous improvement techniques, enables Muller Redditch to remain as one of the UK’s premier subcontract machining facilities for low to high volume CNC machining.

High tolerance, high volume, high capacity CNC machining

Muller’s Redditch facility provides complex, high tolerance parts across a wide range of industries using the latest CNC turning and milling technologies.

Muller’s joint venture in India also provides the group with high volume CNC turning and vertical machining centre capacity. Goods are stored in Muller’s UK facility awaiting call off, thus offering customers the benefits of low-cost economy pricing, with the assurance of local UK supply.

Muller South Wales is the micro machining division of the Group, producing miniature components from 50 CNC and CAM operated Escomatic lathes. The capacity ranges from 1mm to 7mm diameter and typically produces both low and high-volume components from stainless and alloy steels, brass and aluminium.
