2017 is a significant year for PP Control & Automation as we celebrate our 50th birthday with employees, customers and partners.
One of our biggest assets is the quality and expertise of our supply chain and we wanted to recognise this by hosting a special event designed to mark their support and sustained performance.
More than 20 people, from fourteen different companies, visited our Cheslyn Hay facility yesterday to hear who had come out on top in our Supplier Awards, covering categories including:
Members of staff were given the opportunity to put their vote forward, with cable product specialist Lutze UK announced as our Best Supplier. It has consistently worked with us pursuing customer opportunities, creating innovative supply solutions and assisting with product selection over many years.

Martin Allen, Purchasing Manager at PP Control & Automation, said: “Since February 2005, we have spent a combined total of £35m and, over the last twelve months, £1 of every £3 spent was with the suppliers invited to the Awards.
“We were really pleased with how the event went and the positive response we received from suppliers, who appreciated the fact we recognised the work they put in.
“In addition to the Awards, we also gave everyone a tour of our factory and the new extension so they could clearly visualise our processes, the individual cells and additional work stations we’ve created. We also touched on the changing face of customer opportunities.”
He concluded: “Our plan is to double sales to £40m and, in order for us to meet this ambitious target, we will need our suppliers to buy into the vision and provide the strategic support required.”
